International Diesel Services, one of Europe’s leading fuel card suppliers is celebrating its 40th anniversary with the new name: “Q8Truck” and is launching bold growth ambitions. In the coming years, Q8Truck wants to double its network of truck dedicated sites and be present in several additional countries. "We also see great potential in a wide range of services - such as a toll payment service, parking services, financial services, - and sustainable fuels. The new name ‘Q8Truck’ reflects this," said Hans Kats, Director Q8Truck. 

In 1985, International Diesel Services (IDS-Q8) - as part of the international petroleum player Q8 - opened its very first filling stations specifically for trucks at strategic locations in Europe. Over the past forty years, the brand has grown into an established name in the transport world active in 27 countries in Europe. 

And the celebrations come with a lot of ambitious plans for the future. "We are relentlessly driven by a bold objective for exponential growth, with a clear vision to double our size and impact in the near future." states Hans Kats. “So we are planning to build a large number of new stations the coming years ourselves but will also enlarge the network with new ‘card acceptance’ stations (stations where you can pay with our fuel cards) to provide a far denser network in existing and new countries. The upcoming months, we will already open multiple new stations in our network.“

“The market is changing, customers’ needs and expectations are evolving, so clearly we respond to that. We want to significantly expand our offering of HVO100 - 100% fossil-free fuel - and we also want to offer electric charging for trucks - which, by the way, we are already testing in Scandinavia for example," says Martijn Hazebroek, Strategy and Business Development Director Q8Truck. “Services such as toll payment and parking are also part of our plans.”

The 40th anniversary and the new growth plans, were also the perfect time to give the brand a facelift. And it is coming in the form of a new name and branding: ‘Q8Truck’. "We are thus aligning our brand with the Q8 Group, of which we are part, so that we are more recognizable in all markets. And the name also fits better with all the new services we want to add. With ‘Q8Truck’ we are ready for the future," concludes Martijn Hazebroek.
